Step 5: Insert Batteries & Lower iTracker
Insert Batteries
Remove the upper housing from iTracker. Then install the two batteries into the battery bracket. Once the batteries are installed, replace the upper housing and continue.
Eastech recommends using Tadiran TL-5930 D 3.6V. You can purchase more of these at the Eastech Learn Store.
Lower the iTracker
Attach an S-Clip to one end of the chain and the eyebolt on the Spanner Bar. Then attach an S-Clip to the upper housing of the iTracker.
Now, lower the iTracker so that it is suspended approximately 2’ – 3’ above the trough.
Tip: Place a piece of duct tape on the water level measurement tool at the 24 inch mark. Then you can visually see where your minimum height (24 inches) is.
